VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR LOAVES AND FISHES
Since 2002, St. Stan’s has provided, prepared and served a meal once a month for the Loaves and Fishes program at it’s St. Matthew’s Catholic Church site in West St. Paul. Our guests are the working poor. Some have lost jobs due to the economy, illness or accidents. Some are mentally ill and some are families with children. We also welcome seniors from a near by high rise who need a nourishing meal but also the company of others. A devoted group of parishioners started this ministry. The experience has been rewarding for volunteers and guests alike. We find our numbers have diminished somewhat and are now looking for more volunteers.
