Dear People Whom God Loves,
We have been reflecting on integration in us as individual people. Without going into it deeply, let us look at broader integration.
The divine Love that is in us is in all human beings and thus we are all intimately connected to each other. The blood by which we are related is the loving, mysterious energy that we name God.
Surrender to this reality is part of our surrender to Love. Furthermore, this divine Love is in the whole universe and thus we are intimately connected to the whole universe. Again, surrender to Love brings us to surrender to this reality. It is so easy to make our God too small.
The universe is not God, the earth is not God, humans are not God. But God is alive and active in all of creation. That is why surrender to Love brings us more in alignment with everyone and everything. This is just another way of saying that we are called to surrender to the will of God. That is what I think of when I pray the Our Father. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.
This insight and faith is to see what is beneath all the wonderful knowledge that science has brought to us.
Our tradition says that God is omnipresent (all present). I think that that is what that word is all about.
