Dear People Whom God Loves,
Let us see examples of that fidelity and freedom in our world. Perhaps the easiest is parents who are intelligent and loving. They will set boundaries for their children and allow freedom within those boundaries. That is what allows fruitful and creative growth. If the boundaries are excessively rigid, the child will not grow creatively. If the boundaries are excessively loose, the chaos will not allow creative growth either. Intelligent love is faithful and free and fosters fidelity and freedom.
Another example. We humans with our freedom can change something in our lives and our world but not everything. There are constraints and freedom within those constraints. The Serenity Prayer of AA captures that wisdom.
A final example. Evolution works the same way. There are natural selections and random mutations that cannot be predicted. There is freedom. However everything is possible. There are constraints that do not allow everything to happen. Again, there is neither absolute rigidity nor chaos. The universe reflects Intelligent Love. True love will always be intelligent and true intelligence will always be loving.
